Issue:
Gmail (and some other email clients) does not support sending attachments larger than 20MB.
Solution 1: Use HTML as the Export Format
The HTML format produces much smaller files compared to other formats.
If the file is still too large, you can split it into multiple parts (see Solution 3 for details).
Solution 2: Share via Google Drive
-
Instead of selecting Gmail (or any other app), choose "Save to Drive" when sharing the file.
-
Tap "Save".
-
Open the notification panel and track the upload progress.
-
Once the file is uploaded, tap the notification to open it in Drive.
-
Tap the three-dot icon next to the file name
-
Enable "Link sharing" and then tap "Copy link".
-
Open your email app, start a new message, and paste the link in the body of the email.
Solution 3: Split the File into Smaller Parts
-
In the Sharing Methods screen, tap the settings icon next to your selected format.
-
Enable "Split Files".
-
Choose the number of messages per file.
-
Tap "Save" (top-right corner).
Solution 4: Transfer Files via USB to a Computer
-
Connect your phone to your desktop or laptop via USB.
-
On your phone, browse to the folder:
Internal Storage > SMS Backup > Conversations -
From there, you can copy and manage the files directly on your computer.
